Horses Available to purchase
Each year, we offer a limited number of our foals or young offspring to the public and even more rarely, one of our mares or a broke gelding. Many of these horses are either slated to attend the summer shows, or were in our show string in years past. All of our youngsters are extensively handled with appropriate training for their age and growth stages. When you buy from us, rest assured that what is advertised is what you will get!
**New in 2022** We have started to offer consignment services on a limited basis for friends and clients. These horses are carefully evaluated and represented using the same standards of quality and transparency that we employ in marketing our own prospects.

Tradewinds Jimi Hendrix (Tradewinds Benchmark x Tradewinds Jubilee, By Blooming Grove Midnight) DOB 4/4/2025
Introducing Tradewinds Jimi Hendrix, a grey registered 2025 Percheron colt. Jimi is out of one of our most decorated and popular mares, Tradewinds Jubilee and by our homebred sire, Tradewinds Benchmark. Jimi's mare family is very, very slow to grey - his dam is eleven this year and is only now dappled. By all appearances, he is going to follow in her footsteps in that regard, giving his future owners many years to enjoy 'peak color'.
Of the foals that his dam, Jewel, has produced over the years, Jimi is the most like her in terms of temperament and conformation. He is very correct and could be a fierce competitor at halter as a junior horse and go on to be competitive in many disciplines as he matures. Jimi is an animated mover, with a light and springy trot and a good canter. He could be a very fun riding/dressage partner as well as being a contender in the driving arena. Currently he is broke to lead, tie both straight and in crossties, and is good for routine handling. We are introducing new sights daily with walks around our property and have begun introducing some small obstacles for him to inspect and become accustomed to. Jimi is a sensitive and curious colt who takes a bit of time to become accustomed to people, but once he warms up to you, he is friendly and sweet.
We anticipate Jimi to mature in the 18hh range; he is UTD on all cares. As with all our colts, we are happy to entertain reasonable offers to find him

We eagerly awaited the arrival of our first foals by jr stallion, Tradewinds Flint; would they be as personable and smart as the foals we enjoyed from his sire? Thankfully, Bess very quickly gave us a chance to meet one!
Boston is all the things we had hoped for in this pairing - he is very correct, with an animated trot and a good canter. He is kind, smart and very interested in all the things his people are doing around him. We feel he could shine in performance classes as a mature horse; both in harness or under saddle.
Currently he is enjoying learning new skills in a few lessons a week; he is broke to lead, tie (both straight and in crossties) and has learned body control cues (backing, yielding shoulders, yielding hips, etc). We have introduced clippers, bathing, fly sprays and are beginning to introduce small obstacles to step over/on.
We are constantly impressed with how quickly and calmly he picks up new skills! Boston is pssm1 n/n by parentage and is expected to mature in the 17hh range.
