Who doesn't love a grey? We had not intended to have a 'junior' herdsire join the barn almost immediately after we decided to retain Benchmark, but when Hemi was born we quickly readjusted our plan!

Hemi has been a mainstay in our show string since birth; competing at halter in his foal, yearling and two year old seasons. He completed his jr. horse career in 2024 as the reserve All-American two-year-old stallion. Like his dam and granddam, Hemi is very correct in his way of going, with no paddling or winging or other deviation in gait. He is an animated and energetic mover who should do well in coming years in both driving classes and under saddle events.

Hemi is a little more 'old school' in his styling; he currently stands 16.2 with a deeper rib and slightly heavier bone and bigger foot than some of his contemporaries. We expect him to continue to mature and fill out and likely will end up at or slightly over 17hh at maturity.

He was loaned to friends during the 2024 season; his first foals are due in 2025.
